Heavy rains all week blew out the creek and flooded the pond until Sat. Were there any trout left?  There couldn't be, especially with temps around 80 Sat. and Sun.   Big Dan said lets hit it after dark.  Wow!  That was the ticket.  From about 1100 to 1200am - caught and released 7 more rainbows into the creek.   Dan has such respect for this fishery- I caught him lying down to release this one! (or bc the cops were locking the gates  and kicking everbody out so we had to lay low)

Trout Derby!

Finally no rain, Saturday was the kids trout derby at  the park.  We were able to release 6 rainbows into the creek.  I'm sure many more than that escaped the pond at both ends. We should be able to get several more released into the creek this week. I also caught one in the creek below the area we were releasing them, so good luck-  the Nimishillen Creek trout run is on.   Big Dan releasing a fresh  rainbow!
                                            

Crappie! - Weekly Report

Chagrin river is down and fishable if you can get up there.  Should be steelhead near the mouth for at least the next 2 weeks- with increasing chances of catching a lake run smallie or carp as temps. continue to rise. 

Big Dan gets an 11 incher on his new ultralight rod!  Another natural reproducing fish caught and released from a local creek.
