Tuscarawas River Cruiser!

Not much going on, just waiting for the rivers to cool down.  Thinking about converting my bike into a Tow Path Cruiser for the Tusc.  Here is a guys bike from Jacksonville FL.

Steelhead Already In The Rocky!

Wow! Even with a full blown drought all summer steelhead are entering the rivers.  Half a dozen were electroshocked this week at the marina, which is a stones throw away from the first riffle.  You won't see em or even catch em on these sunny warm days , but they are there!  Check this out!

Carp On The Fly Never Gets Old

Got one at the park on a whoolly bugger Sat.

• Last week Big Dan and myself walked the Chagrin River to see what it looks like with no flow bc of the drought.  Managed a couple smallies and a rock bass.  We found an unusual footprint that was fresh in the mud along the river.  Just one wet print, that's it.  The animal that made this print had a long stride bc the next step would have been up a high bank approximately 6 feet from the water.      

After I looked at this picture that was taken shortly before we came upon the above foot print- I noticed a ape-like figure appear to be in the water where we found that print.  I believe this to be a one of a kind photo of " The Ohio Grassman !"

Farm Pond Report

Jordan was casting flies on the 13ft  Whuppin Stick and caught some nice bass and bluegill Sat. night!  Good work young lady!

Got on Meyers Lake Sat. with the 3wt fly rod.  Nice smallie on a orange and yellow bunny strip with barbell eyes!

Weekend Report !

Another hot weekend in Ohio.  Spike and I tried Leesville Sat. morning with no luck.  He had one musky follow a large crank up to the boat and shun it at last second.  Still was a great morning out on the lake in the drift boat.

Big Dan got into a bunch of smallies on the Cuyahoga  Sun.

Last week Brock and I got into a some bass as well!
