Urban Smallies!

More urban angling surprises.  Big Dan gets a smallie on the fly in a ditch that connects to the Nim.  I'm certain this fish has never been caught.  Awsome, a naturally reproducing smallmouth bass caught in a ditch  that gets its water from street run off.

Weekend Report! Rain-Rain-Rain -

Well, the steelhead run is still on hold.  However, the carp don't seem to mind all the rain.  One of my favorite high water hog holes. 

                                       

Carp are the same as hogs, line up at the trough-- and suck down the trash.

I'm getting tired of carp photos too, that's it, I promise.   

Weekend Report!

Saturday's rain blew out the Chagrin- again.  High wind gusts all of Sunday put white caps on the ponds and local creeks.  Big Dan and I did some major walking to find a calm spot behind a high wall that was breaking the wind.  Dan, standing up on the wall told me where to throw and when to set the hook- bc the water was still muddy from the rain.  Whammo! Goggle Earth is a wonderful thing.  Found a sheltered pond from the wind that gave up a couple bass to both of us.  I think your alowd to fish here, just stay back in the trees- out of view of  the house behind the barn!

Big Dan lands another on his brown and white bugger!  Urban angling is just too much fun.  Some guy on his bike rode over to see what we where doing and hit a hole in the bank -then went over the handle bars, he had a few, if u know what I mean!



Warm Rains Brought The Carp To The Surface!

This fatty was sucking trash that was pouring out of a sewer pipe draining into the pond!  

 Andy showed up and caught some bass throwing a stick bait!
