Tenkara - catching rainbows with a stick and some line!

I pulled Big Dan away from watching the Ohio State-Michigansucks  game.  We walked the bank with the 13 foot Whuppin Sticks  and some flies. Gin clear water and lots of spooky trout.  Dan landed the only rainbow on a green and black cadddis pattern!

The opening on my net is 14 inches, you do the math.  That is a nice fish to land on 4lb tippet and a rod with no reel!

Live Action!

 Hurricane Sandy brought fresh fish into the Chagrin this week.  I took a mental health day Friday and caught and released several nice fish on eggs and nymphs.  Lots of anglers out and all the usual holes were being fished hard.  I took a walk and it paid off.  I will call this one Sandy bc the hurricane brought her to me.  YeYeYeYe--That's Live Action!

Leesville Trip!

What do 2 Canton Mckinley Football Hall Of Famers  do in their free time?  Dan and Lee hunt for Musky on Leesville Lake in Lee's drift boat.  We had a nice trip with some great scenery and quality time on the water!

Not much going on, just waiting for the rivers to cool down.  Thinking about converting my bike into a Tow Path Cruiser for the Tusc.  Here is a guys bike from Jacksonville FL.
